Mount Compass Library Kiosk

Update 17 October 2019

We’re all set up and operational at Mount Compass Post Office! It was great to talk to everyone during the opening week and staff enjoyed hearing what you had to say about the relocated service. If you would like to use this service and pick up your library items from Mount Compass, either change your home library location to “Mount Compass” or call us on 8555 7000. You can join the library by going to this link, and then start requesting items. Library items borrowed from anywhere in SA as part of the OneCard system can be dropped off here too.

Update 25 September 2019

We’re putting the finishing touches on the library kiosk for Mount Compass ready for launch next week. This standalone catalogue is a self-service point you can use to place library item requests, which will be delivered to the post office at Mount Compass Central, ready for pick up each Wednesday. When you’ve finished with your library items, leave them in the small cupboards under the shelving unit and they will be collected.

Make use of the OneCard Library system and get access to over 3 million items for free!

12 September 2019

From Monday 30 September, the Mount Compass community will have upgraded access to the Alexandrina Libraries catalogue via a new library kiosk, soon to be established in the Licensed Post Office at Mount Compass Central.

Functioning as a pick up and drop off location for library items, the ‘kiosk’ will allow customers to access the OneCard Network and place requests on over 3.7 million items through a standalone tablet unit. Once these items are relocated from around the state, the customer will be notified and can then pick up the item from a dedicated corner of the Post Office.

Items are expected to be delivered once a week initially on a Wednesday morning, and will increase in frequency as driven by demand.

Come and meet visiting library staff on 30 September-2 October 2019 (Mon-Wed) between 11am and 1pm outside the Licensed Post Office to ask questions, join the library or find out more about eBooks and the new library app.

New items will be available for loan as part of these special introductory sessions and this will allow new customers to get started on using the new system and making the most of the free OneCard Library Network.

For more information, speak to a library staff member today. You can also ask questions via Facebook, email us at or call us on 8555 7000.
