Joining the library
Becoming a Mount Barker Community Library member is easy and it’s free. Anybody of any age is welcome to join the Library. If you are under 16 years of age you will require a parent/guardian to sign your membership form. To join the library you need to:
- Show personal identification with your current address.
- Bring in a parent or guardian if you are under 16 years of age.
- Agree to comply with library policies.
For all new memberships, please bring along Photo ID with your current address. If you do not have photo ID then you will be asked for two forms of signature ID.
Wireless
LibrariesSA-Free Wireless network is now available at Mount Barker Community Library. The wireless network does not require a login or Library Membership and provides a daily download allowance of 5GB. You are able to connect to Wireless internet at any participating public library in South Australia.
Computer facilities
There are PCs available in the library for community use. Bookings can be made in person at the library, online or by contacting the library on 8393 6400. Please be aware that the computers will be turned off 10 minutes prior to closing.
Bringing the library to you
The Library Home delivery Service is a free service for residents of the Mount Barker District Council who are unable to visit the library in person due to frailty, illness or other incapacity.
If you or someone you know, are in need of this service please contact the library on 8393 6400 to request a Library Home Delivery Service application package to be posted to you. If you are living in a private residence we will provide you with a declaration form to be filled in by a medical professional stating that you are unable to visit the library.
Justice of the Peace
